Well, you might have to make vac a bit louder, I'm not really sure. Next you'll want to make a test recording. Open up audacity, and you will be presented with a blank recording. Press ctrl-f6 twice and you will hit the device tool bar. On this bar, you can tab between the controls. Set your output device to your headset output and your input device to stereo mix. This is the most iportan part. tab again, and you will reach the input channels box. Set this to stereo otherwise you will hear everything in mono, and that's just dumb if you are showing a game where the left and right channels are independent of one another. OK, well, you are set up and ready to go. Sadly, there is no global hot keys available for audacity. That's one thing you'll just have to live with. Total recorder has global hot keys, but really, it's just not worth the downsides for the convenience. To begin recording, press r. To stop, press the space bar. Space bar also plays back the audio or the selection, if you have slected something. Now you have made a est recording. See if you can play it back. Make sure you test your voice and the computer output both.
