side.

Do you try to unload units onto a tile with other units on it? It seems to
happen in those situations…at least for me.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I worked out some of that after reading
the Mission Brief, but I've found a glitch. I use the Troop Transport to get
the commander closer to Reynor, but once I've unloaded him and the other guy
the first time, if I load anyone into the transport unit again I've lost
them. The unload skill won't spit them back out for me. This might have
something to do with saving and loading, but I thought that only impacted
you if you placed units in the transport before saving/loading the game and
then tried to retrieve them. Unfortunately, it doesn't. I wish this wasn't a
problem at all—saving should mean remembering things like this. :(

Hi,

Good questions. I should add more info to that mission brief.



The supply depot in mission1 is window dressing to help find rynor. It was
kind of an joke, the law enforcement unit hanging around a diner. Perhaps I
should have made it into a donut shop, lol.



The civ transports are just vehicles with “civilians” in them. They are the
ones requiring escorting and that is all they do.

I think of them as buses with a guard pointing a gauss rifle out a window,
grin.



The troop transport is the one to use for troop transporting. The capacity
limit is actually 8, even when the marines and medics are still technically
in the truck, meaning the once only skills.

Allan, how do you get the Supply Depo place onto your team? I've looked
through everyone's skills and I can't see one that looks likely. Also, the
ordinary Terran transports don't seem to be useable as...well, transports. I
can't load onto them but they don't have the unload skill either so I
suppose that doesn't really matter.

I only just downloaded this pack for the first time, hence why I'm asking
about Mission 1 stuff.

I know how to do it but I just don't have cool audio things to use as intro
sounds. :( That kind of customisation should be saved for the full-scale
game I keep talking about and then not working towards creating. :P

Well, he just pulled those intro sounds from the actual starcraft game. If
you mean getting audio files that play instead of intro text, that's in the
map making guide.

No, that is my fault. I had to use a barracks specifically made for that
map. I forgot to include that in the only_useable_on= flag.

The reason for the unique barracks is to prevent ghosts and certain
structures from being introduced too early, at least according to the info
I
got.

I am glad you like the maps. There is thirty of them all together, ten
dedicated to each faction.
