-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The next meeting location has been set. Jan 23, 2001 at 7:00 pm in Burnett 203. A map will be put on the calendar page on the web site. Also, we will have free pepsi beverages at this meeting. Swag will also be given out from various sources. We still need a presentation topic. I was thinking about doing one on Wine and running Windows programs in Linux. This would include compiling and installing it. Running the latest Lotus Notes client that the university uses would also be included - I use this a lot at NETV and it runs great in Linux. Wine gaming though has not worked out great for me. Only once have I gotten Star Craft to work. This was another topic I was thinking about: gaming. I own two Loki games, Unreal and Quake3. Other games are open source. Doing this presentation would probably require the computer to be brought in for sound and 3d fx. Other ideas? Preferences? Also, if you would like a subscription to Maximum Linux, I have some forms you can fill out for a subscription, at $24 a year (45% off cover price). Finally, anyone going to Linux World Expo? - -- J.R.
