There is a famous Zen proverb:
Sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day - unless you're too busy. Then
you should sit for an hour.

But what does it mean? I translated it to:
If you *really want to* 'insert activity', but find you are too busy. You
should meditate longer.

I think the proverb is trying to say that if you are unable to match activities
in your life with your inner motivations (not only the action 'meditate for 20
minutes'), meditation could help. Meditation may learn you how to align your
activities with your inner motivations by making you realize you cannot do
everything and learn you how to focus your attention on that which is really
important for you.

And if you do not know yet what is important for you, simply meditate all day
until you do... ;] ;] ;]
(this is similar to a meditation retraite)

Grt!
