Slightly confused here. The Rock n’ Roll show on Thursday evenings?? I had
already mentioned that Tony and I would be returning with the Hastings Retro
Rock on Thursdays like we did last year. Did you mean Tuesday evenings for Rock
n’ Roll like it normally is?
Items for discussion....
a.. Fest 2018 (Carlisle)
b.. The Azur event run by Bike1066 (Our participation)
c.. HR night at The Carlisle in Feb. I saw it advertised bit assume it is to
do with you Nick.
d.. Jobs that Dawn did..... who’s going to do them? I am handling media at
the moment.
e.. Advertising...... welcome Tony Davis
f.. Website and web stuff
g.. Contingency (If OFCOM turn us down or shorten the broadcast..... if we
can’t run in May.... what are we going for as an alternative?)
Again seems a lot, but some can be sorted quite quickly.

Ok. I have definitive cost for pre-broadcast streaming having spoken to them
today.
PRS, we can buy a licence for as long as we like subject to a minimum fee.
PPL you have to buy a licence for a year pro-rata so the later we buy a licence
the cheaper.
I have worked on an assumption that we would buy it to start on April 1st and
the total cost including VAT would be £279.
If we start later on in the year the cost will reduce by about £32 per month.
You can do the maths.

Meant to say......
There isn’t much difference in getting a licence for a year as opposed to
getting one for a month because there is always a minimum fee attached to
periods shorter than a YEAR.

For information, internet streaming licences will cost £412.80 for one year.
If we purchase to start it from January 1st, we can start streaming when we
like.
There isn’t much difference in getting a licence for a year as opposed to
getting one for a month because there is always a minimum fee attached to
periods shorter than a month.
It really does depend if we want to splash the cash.
If we decide to go for this.... just a suggestion but....
IF we get licence approval. Start streaming online early in the year (after all
it is our 25th anniversary).
We can do the ‘occasional’ live show to whet the appetite of the listener, and
do a bigger build-up towards broadcast start. Some of us can do internet shows
from our home already including me and I don’t mind facilitating this from my
little studio.
Anyway, its just a suggestion for a different approach and upping the game for
the anniversary year.
