Hi all,
We have a winner! Really awesome going through this process with you. I
have thought about how I would feel if this organization would win, mulling
it over over the last couple of days. I have a hard time thinking about
doing holiday giving for this program. It is an amazing program with whom
the church would benefit working with and will help us as a society
progress greatly with more awareness and growth regarding systemic racism.
However, I still feel that it was not the best fit for what my
understanding of what the holiday giving program is. I could get into
details of why I feel this way, but I do not want to turn this into a
debate. You all voted for it and want it to succeed, you have my support
and blessing and I hope you raise lots of money.
Unfortunately I need to step away from the group for this round. I respect
the priority of the group, I am just not on the same page with you. I am
sure there are other areas of the church that can use my help.
Let us stay in touch and I will be happy to come hear you at your table on
Sunday.
