Decision
Greetings!
Our team has been filled with joy today! We are so honored and humbled to be
the recipient of your 2017 Holiday Giving Program! This news could not have
come at a better time for our organization. We are hosting an IZI training
next week and we've been giving out scholarships to attend all day. In our
grant, we offered IZI training to those from your congregation whom are
interested in learning more about how to bring together people across
difference. Would anyone be willing to join us on Thursday, October 12th
from 10:00am-4:00pm? I will go ahead and send an invitation to you all right
away. We would need to know how many people are interested as soon as
possible so that we can budget for food and make sure that we have enough
space. Space is limited and I am receiving more inquiries everyday.
Thank you for believing in our model of Intentional Social Interaction! We
look forward to hearing back from you in the near future!
Once again, thank you for this opportunity!
Lauren Williams

Mission
Marnita’s Table seeks to close gaps across difference through making
Intentional Social Interaction (“IZI") the new pattern for society where
people of color, the disenfranchised, the poor, the unheard, the fragile,
the LGBTQ+, the traditionally unheard and excluded are actively and
intentionally included and valued at the policy-making and resource-sharing
table.

Hi Lauren Williams!
Thanks for your application to be a part of First Universalist’s Holiday
Giving Program. This year we received 19 very strong applications this
year, and are deeply grateful for all of the energizing work non-profits do
in our community.
We are thrilled to announce Marnita’s Table has been selected to be the
2017 recipient of First Universalist’s Holiday Giving Program!
While there are many things that excited us about the work Marnita’s Table
does, we’re specifically excited about the potential for Intentional Social
Interactions (IZIs) to drive systemic change for racial justice, and the
opportunities for engagement available to our congregation.
We’ll be in contact more as we continue our work with the giving campaign
this year. In the meantime, we wanted to reach out briefly just to let you
know of this good news.
Again, well done on the outstanding work you do in our community, and we’re
thrilled to begin our partnership as we move forward!
If you have any questions in the mean time, you’re welcome to contact us at

Respectfully,
The First Universalist Holiday Giving Team
