DNA testing says my mother and you are fourth cousins-ish. That would be your

Marriage license? I tried to get into records on familysearch for the two
different towns in Baden-Wurttemburg for these men but am locked out. I will
need to go to family history library in town to get access. Any thoughts?

Thanks!! I guess I hadn’t gone far enough….I did find the dna match. I’ve
checked my trees and so far don’t have the actual connection. My grandparents
on my Mom’s side were Fred Aman & Lydia Hoff, Great Grandparents were
Margaretha Guthmiller & Fred Hoff, GGGparents were Heinrich Hoff & Regina
Stoebner and Johann Guthmiller and Karolina Hoffer – not sure if this will
help. What are your names?

Nice to hear from you! I do not know of a Porter Schmidt, but I have many
Schmidt’s in my family – is he an ancestor or living now? I also see we have
the names Schneider, Huber and Lang in common. I see many Schneider and

I found the same pair of ancestors in another of my DNA matches:
a Heidi Stathus. (managed by rstathubyhstathus)
Look up her tree. You too have a lot in common. And, you both
are a DNA match to me, so somewhere in there is a link to my mom.
