Greetings fellow Democrats,
I hope this email finds everyone doing well, vaccinated and ready to visit
with family and friends again. We held our last meeting at the Clark
community center. It was wonderful to see each other's smiling eyes!
A brief summary of the meeting follows:

Opened Aug. 22, opened 3 days a week through September then 4 days through
October.
Total days open 37, 5 to 7 hours depending on the day, 2 hours Sun. in Oct.
190 people were counted who bought items/donated
27 members volunteered time
Generated a profit of $700.00
The general experience was positive and worthy of doing again if there is
the opportunity.
*New Business:*
*Highway Cleanup -* The group set the date for *Saturday May 22 at 8:00
AM. * *WE NEED VOLUNTEERS*, *please HELP support our commitment to keeping
Holmes county highways looking beautiful*.
We will meet at the 4 Seasons Landscaping, Co. Rd. 624, on the side road
before their parking lot just off of St. Rt. 39 east of Millersburg, turn
right onto 624, just after MRV Siding company. Waste bags and reflective
vests will be provided. It takes about an hour and a half to cover our
section with enough volunteers.
*Holmes County Fair Booth - *The group voted to have a booth at the fair
this year. We will have more information regarding the fair at our July
meeting.
*HCDP Facebook* page went away? Margaret will make a new one for the group.
*Suggestion *made to get the HCDP noticed in the county is to give a
donation to the Holmes County ED. Foundation. We will invite a
representative to our next meeting to give us ideas and options for
donating.
