Hi,

The 2.6.23 BEET patch is essentially only for interfamily support. Although I 
haven't tried it in a while, you should be able to run intrafamily without 
it. The interfamily stuff in general is being updated for 2.6.25 (which 
includes adding support for the BEET mode as well) so we shouldn't need any 
patching after that anymore.
