[hipl-users] help with ubuntu packaging

Hi,
I am having a rather strange problem on my laptop and I'd like to
request help from you:

So, the problem is that booting ubuntu with usplash kills my daemons at
some point of the start up (at least in my laptop). If I switch to text
mode with ctrl+alt+f1, it works just fine.
The problem appears to be the same in here:

If you are talented in googling for extra clues or a packaging wizard,
you're help would be highly appreciated. I am running out of things to
try out...
