Do you notice anything special ?

Nope. Can you copy-paste the complete log from initiator (from hipd start-up to killing of hipd). Also, I need the /etc/hosts and /etc/hip/hosts preferably exactly as they are. You are using kernel version 2.6.13.1 ?
