[hipl-users] Testing HIP association

Hello again,
Sorry if I am disturbing so much but I am new to HIPL.
I tried to connect 2 hosts as in chapter 6,
I get in the first machine :

What this mean? I am in the right case or no?
And what's the utility of sending the text + ctrl D??
And if i want to send traffic using HIP , i mean the SA established, how will I
do?
