Alex,

I am working from home today and about 20 minutes ago I heard someone juggling 
my front door knob trying to get into my house.

I looked out and saw the perpetrator stand there for a couple of minutes (his 
back to the door, dark skull cap and dark jacket).  When he left I saw him walk 
down to the unit having hard woods installed Unit 701 as the van was pulling 
into the drive.

If any break-ins occur in our complex while they are working here, it probably 
would be someone from this work crew.  I reported the incident to the number on 
the van, but the person spoke very little English and I’m not sure he 
understood or he was acting as if he didn’t understand what I was reporting. 
Ugh! Just wanted to make you aware!

We looked at getting Google Fiber installed in our neighborhood a few years 
ago.  We were able to get in touch with a lot of people who were interested in 
getting it installed.

The problem was that Google was way too demanding with how they wanted to 
install the product.  They would only work on one building at a time, and 
everyone in the building would need to be home for the same 1-2 days as they 
went from attic to attic in sequential order.  If a unit in the middle of the 
building refused to participate or just didn't show up, then half of the 
building just wouldn't get wired.

Ultimately, we got in touch with over 80 interested units, but with where they 
were located, it would only allow access to get 40-50 units wired.  This was 
not enough for Google to be interested in our complex.

We basically gave up on the project and decided to wait for 5G.  I'm expecting 
that to happen sometime this year.  We will then have one or more alternatives 
to Comcast/Xfinity internet.

Of course, if anyone would like to spearhead getting Google Fiber installed in 
our neighborhood, then I can give them the project documents and they can try 
to resurrect the project.  Perhaps the technology has improved, and Google has 
found a better way to get our units wired, without requiring everyone in a 
building to be at home at the same date and time.
