This is your friendly neighbor Vadim aka Alex at 102. Hate to tell you this but
a $40 stun gun won't help. I use stun guns only on snake bites. You may have
noticed I'm the guy who always open carries his pistol around the neighborhood.
Open statement to all suspects that if they break into 102 it will not be
pretty for them. Unless you're gonna get a police grade stun gun I recommend a
9mm pistol or even a revolver. Cheap and easy ro use. Great equalizer. Better
than an electric toy; )
I'm also the one that made sure Dennis did not break into our homes illegally a
little while ago when we were having water leakage issues.
I'm more than happy to train on basic safety and use. I think the more we open
carry around our homes the better. Unfortunately downtown living with this kind
of activity is inescapable.
I'll be happy to participate in a neighborhood watch. But I don't simply report
I take action. Don't know if the watch can handle that.

FYI: There is a company called Nightlock. They make locks for doors that are
very difficult to get into. My brother has one. Can be ordered thru their
website, Amazon or special ordered thru Home Depot.
They run anywhere from 39.95 up. I will be ordering one for each door. Also,
just purchased a Stun Gun through Amazon. Very easy and not expensive.

Agreed. I’ve had a renter in my unit for years as well but they have also been
vetted (background check, credit check, etc…) by my management company. I
would not be so quick to make those assumptions. It is very easy to get into
the community, even if it is gated. I agree that posting flyers is a good way
to make the neighborhood aware and possibly deter the acts.

important for our neighborhood as calls for service dictate how many officers
are assigned to the beats around our area. Also, residents generally need to
be vigilent about locking doors and keeping items out of plain sight within
