Thanks for making us aware Keenan. I ran into the woman just now. She
walked up to another neighbor at the mailbox and I interviewed and walked
her out the complex. It took a second to get her out but she just needed
someone to listen to her. She mentioned she wanted to go upstairs and see
her husband. She was mentally unstable. My choice was to call the hospital
for her. She said she was scared and I ensured her all would be ok. I
mentioned that there were two hospitals and pointed in each direction. By
the time we got out the gate she asked if she could come to my house. I
mentioned I couldn’t provide her the help she needed but that a hospital
could. She ultimately made the decision to walk away on her own.
We live in the city and periodically people find there way in here. It’s up
to anyone to determine what to do. If you feel you’re in danger, call the
cops. If you feel someone is mentally unstable, maybe call for an
ambulance. In my opinion, calling the cops wasn’t going to get her the
help she needed.

someone’s driveway. I answered my door and she mumbled a bunch of words and
looked a little messed up. She didn’t seem dangerous but she looked like
she wanted to come inside. I closed the door since I couldn’t understand
anything she was trying to say. I am in the 400 townhomes looking out of my
front window at her. Not sure what we are supposed to do about this but I
just wanted everyone to keep an eye out.
