There used to be a broom handle or some kind of stick to help push trash
bags in if you couldn't get it all the way in on the first try. Last time I
checked, I didn't see it. No offense, but I'm not crawling into a dumpster
to push it all the way in those rare cases, and I assume the next time
someone throws a trash bag in, they can knock in mine, too. (that's what I
do, anyway, if I have more than one bag.) Not lazy, just not 100%
accurate... and short. :-P

Folk need to make sure their trash goes all the way in. I cannot believe
that people leave trash hanging. Maybe they cannot throw it far enough into
the compactor but if that's the case, why not throw in smaller bags? Lazy
if you ask me. Well done to the people that do the right thing.

The regular dumpster is up and running. I just used it with no issues. It
would help if residents made sure trash made it in the shoot and run the
compactor. It was starting to over fill only because no one had run the
compactor after throwing there trash in.

Is there a pick up schedule for this open top garbage dumpster? It is
now full and will soon run over. Is there any word on how long it will be
before the regular dumpster is fixed? The open top is an eyesore.

I've never seen the trash looking so bad. I worry about an increase in
vermin die to the overflow.

Anyone know what's going on with the trash?

The trash overflows and rodent infestation are recurring problems that
are not being consistently monitored and prevented. Can someone explain the
difficulties involved in scheduling more frequent trash pickup and
exterminating services. I don't care if we cut back on the pine straw
placed around the bushes. But not having trash overflow & a rat
infestation are HUGE issues for me. I'm over this.

If there is nothing in the traps, that's good as long as you are not
hearing the noise in the wall. Part of the proactive measure was what we
had done on our visit last week, when we found the hole they were getting
into at the air conditioning lines. The trapping inside and trap checks is
to catch anything that may be in the bldg after the holes are sealed. Ken
and myself are going to put together a proactive solution for the outside
to help thin the population, but at the same time you have to understand
that no one has control over the actions of the animals. Dennis and myself
will do anything that we can to make y'all comfortable in your homes ,
but at the same time keep in touch so that we know what is happening on the
inside. Thanks

Brian

Thanks,

Highland Board
