Hello Neighbors,
Not 100% certain, as I am not a pool chair expert, but if chair frames are
still in good shape a more cost efficient option is to reupholster the existing
chairs.
This has been an option I’ve seen executed in the past.

I do remember that the previous Board purchased some new lounge chairs last
summer. (I only remember because I was disappointed they were the same beige
and that we didn’t replace all of them!) I agree it’d be a great idea to buy
more now. I’ll ask that we add this to the June agenda. I’m also all for
replacing the broken gym equipment ASAP.
In this Board’s defense (which includes me 😬), three of us weren’t on it
until end of last summer and honestly didn’t know what we could and could not
do. Parking was the first issue we tackled, and pool furniture unfortunately
fell through the cracks, among other things.
All that to say, thanks Stephen for unpacking the chairs and bringing all of
these good points up! I hope we can make some quick decisions and enjoy the
sun from some new chairs soon.

I agree with everything you are saying. I have been here for six years and
we have never purchased new furniture in that time although it has been
greatly needed. I would love to see us do that this year and there is no
reason why we should not have the funds readily available to do so.
Obviously, at the end of summer would’ve been the most ideal time but I
would imagine that CMA has wholesale purchase options for us.

Hello,
This evening I volunteered myself to unpack and arrange the pool furniture.
I was very disappointed to find that SEVEN of the lounge chairs were ruined
with dry-rot and FOUR of the normal chairs were missing (1 per table).
As a recent property buyer, this is another example where I have more
questions than answers -
Why did we store broken chairs all winter?
If we were going to repair them, why are they not repaired?
If we were going to throw them away, why did we not do it when a dumpster
was 100 feet away? (two opportunities in the last 8 months)
Why did we not purchase new pool furniture at the end of last season when
it is on sale and least expensive?
Here is the inventory of the pool furniture:
10 Lounge Chairs
12 Chairs
4 Tables
? Table Umbrellas
Thanks,

The pool has been resurfaced and is now open.
I took a look yesterday, and most of the furniture is stacked in the
corner. We could use some volunteers to arrange the furniture.
Also, we're aware that the thermostat in the clubhouse is blank.
Perhaps it needs new batteries or a breaker has been tripped. The issue
will be addressed this week.
Thanks,
Alex
