I think I recall Alex saying there be some sort of blockade in front of the
gate preventing vehicles from entering.

Subject: [highland-discuss] Re: Monday delivery
We've been discussing this type of issue in our household. With the high
number of deliveries that we are all having these days - it will just be
impossible to not get deliveries for an entire day. I have been thinking about
having a people volunteer to sit in front of the gate in shifts (we would
volunteer to cover one) and interact with delivery drivers as they arrive. We
could take the deliveries and send a communication out to our community to
alert so the household could come out and retrieve their items. Or, just
deposit the items in the mail area. If y'all think this would be worthwhile
and effective, we're happy to take a shift for a few hours. My husband is
furloughed and I can just drop a hot spot and work on my laptop. Anybody else?

I got an email late last night that a package I was expecting to be
delivered today from Amazon would be delayed until Monday. Of course there was
no way to reach a living person so I was only able to send a request back
asking for the delivery to be delayed till Tuesday. So far, I haven’t gotten a
reply and I don’t have much hope of hearing anything this weekend.
Anyone have a suggestion how to prevent this delivery? Amazon apparently
has access to the complex without having to call the recipient to let them in
so I don’t think I’ll be able to refuse them entry.
