We received complaints this morning around 10AM that the timing of the
gate was off. It was reported that the gate started closing as soon as
the left arm was raised. I used the gate several times since last week
and did not notice this behavior.
By 11:45AM, the gate company configured the gate to remain open. By
5:20PM, the gate company was on site to fix the operation of the gate.
The arms should now stay up for 7 seconds, and the gate will close 5
seconds after the arms are lowered. This is standard timing. We
requested that the trip charge be waived, since the gate malfunction may
be related to last week's work, and because the right arm was not fixed.
According to the Declaration of Condominium, all unit owners have agreed
that the HOA is not responsible for damage that the gate causes to
property. The HOA is not qualified to comment on what possible remedies
vehicle owners have to address their damage, if any.
