FedEx and UPS do have vendor codes, but the companies aren't perfect.
Sometimes my packages get delivered without incident, and sometimes I have to
buzz in a driver. I'm guessing that if it is a driver's usual route, they
know the gate code, but if a substitute driver is on the route, they might
not know.
This is also a time of year where they hire extra temporary drivers, so the
new drivers might not be familiar with the established processes.

On this topic, sometimes delivery companies will call us directly and
other times they seem to be able to get in without having to call. Is
there a vendor gate code that they are supposed to have to gain access
typically? Any info that could be shared on how delivery truck entry
is managed?
Thanks,

Just got a call from the call box and didn't pick up cause I don't expect
anyone.
I received a voicemail saying it's FedEx and the guy can't get in to
deliver apackage and I do indeed am waiting on a package from FedEx so it
could be legit.
Please allow FedEx to come in without having to call me.
Thanks!
