Alex,
Well put, and I completely agree. It's a basic service that should be
implemented.

Just to provide some common sense input:
When a homeowner or renter in our neighborhood wants to throw something
away, the expectation is that they can throw it away. The recycling
area is the most logical choice for disposing of unwanted items that are
too big to fit in the dumpster.
The City of Atlanta offers "bulk rubbish pickup." Our condo complex
uses a private contractor to empty the dumpster, so bulk rubbish pickup
service is not included by default.
If you live in the country, you have more choices on how to dispose of
trash. You can throw it away, take it to the county dump, burn it, or
just leave it in your yard. The last two options don't fly in the city,
and condo residents don't want to make trips to the county dump.
Our HOA is already paying for bulk rubbish pickup, whether they want to
or not. Actions speak louder than words, and it is apparent that
residents expect bulk rubbish pickup as a standard amenity. Yes, it
will cost a little more, but I think around $3 per unit per month is
reasonable for this basic service. That's about the same cost as our
E911 fee.
Thanks,
Alex

We've been discussing this issue for years now. It's not going to change.

What is the board's plan to deal with the household
