I am trying to understand the logic in purchasing a new compactor for
$30,000. When there is no way of monitoring it's use or abuse? People are
leaving tires, furniture, rugs, anything and everything in the staging area
and construction materials and whatever else is being thrown in this one! Do
you think because a new unit will be installed at our cost it won't be
abused? And when it does brake who pays to fix it if someone throws a bed
frame in it? What are the terms of the warranty if it is misused? There is a
lot that could be addressed with $30k than owning a shiny new compactor. We
pay $900 a month to lease this one which hopefully includes some form
maintenance to instantly spend $30k out of the reserve seems like a poor
investment, in my opinion.
