Keep in mind many homes have been renovated and painted over the years by the
individual owners. So the paint used in one home may not be the same for your
home. This will save you from buying a can of white paint and your ceiling may
be an egg white. Just get several swatches of paint to ensure the paint
matches. They even sell small test cans before investing into a whole can. If
you are painting over repairs done to ceiling, it’s best to paint the entire
ceiling, which minimizes the appearance of repairs being done. Hope this helps.
