Hi Angela, Relationships are attached to clients but family role is attached to BOTH client AND stay. So the STAY portion becomes a historical snapshot of what the role was for THAT stay whereas the client portion is always the CURRENT role. Does this statisfy your requiremnts? My understanding is that you can only have one relationship status assigned to each resident at a time because this info is attached to the client record not the stay. This creates an issue with our billing and the Ontario Municipal Benchmarking Initative (OMBI), both of which ask for historical data related to relationship status. If a person enters the shelter and is assigned as a head of household and then returns to the shelter at a later date as a single, and HIFIS is updated to reflect the new status, it is my understanding that the previous stay would also be recorded as a single stay automatically. Is there some interest in moving relationship status to a stay detail just like housing?
