I recall that one of the Sliwas, second son of Ken and Shirley Sliwa,
was a Naval officer and I think was an LSO on a carrier. Would he have
been a pilot then? I'm guessing that he was rated. Steve, his older
brother, was at one time chancellor of Embry-Riddle. Both were
outstanding juniors.
Ken was a Navy pilot in his day and owned a Grob 109. Shirley was the
director of the soaring museum.
I guess I have to admit that I'm old and forgetful. . . . Who
remembers or knows the first name of the younger
brother? archer martin

Our own Mitch Johnson has passed the last background check and is off
for Navy OCS in Rhode Island next week!!!
It is a pilot slot unless he?s disqualified along the way. Let?s send
our prayers and best wishes with him.
Potentially he would be our first Jr. member to be a Navy pilot. Can
anyone think of another?
Way to go, Mitch,
