I think Tony has cracked it!

CAMRA is the Campaign for Real Ale

I have had PTMH  and have thought it to be the Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial 
Hospice. I remember they had a large group of people collecting, sorting and 
tying in bundles  - newspapers.
In those days they got a lot of money for paper. The people who collected etc 
where called Paper Chasers hence Paper Chasers party.

  1.   Rugby CAMRA?
  2.  Plaistow ? Village over the border in W Sussex
  3.  I think the original name of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice had the additional 
epithet “Memorial” hence PTMH?
