I think I remember speaking at both Young Homemakers and Homemakers
meetings.

Hi all
Homemakers was started as Young Homemakers by the Gas Board and was held in
the Gas showroom in the Woolmead. When the Gas Board no longer wanted to
sponsor the group it was renamed Homemakers and still meets monthly at the
Congregational Church.
I joined back in the day, rejoined later and am still a member. As you can
imagine we are all 'of an age'

To promote Homemakers - I think that was the "women's club" connected with
the gas board. Would be declared sexist today or discriminatory.

Hello, sorry I wasn't around to help with the queries raised yesterday but
Friday is our day for looking after our 2 year old granddaughter and I don't
get to look at any messages or emails until late at night (usually when I am
collapsed in a heap!).
I now have two queries of my own if anyone can help. First up - Adventure
Playground in old ???? in Farnham Park and secondly the Town Crier in
Farnham promoting ????
