I think everything is corrected now. Interesting about the arch, Chris. I found
online ‘The Story Of St. Andrew’s Parish Church At Farnham In Surrey
(updated)’ by Gilbert Jackman. It tells of the large archway that leads to the
Lady Chapel, which `I presume that this is what we are talking about:
“Towards the end of the 15th century the parishioners expressed the
wish for a curate to help their Vicar with his work in this large
parish, and they obtained a licence from King Henry VII, dated 16 February
1487, to endow a perpetual chantry of one Chaplain to celebrate at
the altar of the Blessed Mary in the north side of Farnham Church. Enough
money, and lands from which rents would be payable, were soon available to set
up the chantry, with the first Lady Chapel built on to the north-west of the
north aisle having a large opening through the wall into it. This large
archway, now filled in, can be seen clearly both inside and outside the church.”
And
“1758 - Former Lady Chapel (used since the Reformation as a school)
demolished.”

Names are right but “speaks at St Joan’s Hall”
Doug but I know what he was on about – It is right exactly as written. Farnham
Grammar School started in a now demolished transept at St Andrew’s Church. When
it was demolished the arch was filled in and is still visible near to Cobbett’s
grave in the churchyard (funnily enough I was looking at it today when waiting
for the peregrine). Some of the stone from the demolition was given to new
daughter churches as they were established – there is a piece in one of the
aisle walls of Badshot Lea Curch. A timber beam was also kept and used in the
“new” FGS in Morley Road (not the bit built in the ‘60s, the original building
on that site.

sound right] - With “Sister Graham”`? [that bit sounds more right]
3. This last one looks like it the subject got mixed up with the
descriptions on the other page somehow (arch and grammar school) – but I can’t
see how:
