Wow that is a difficult one!
Please can you enter them like this:
¦Year ¦Date ¦ Neg no. ¦I ¦C¦Assignment
¦
Year Date Neg no. 22 P X Aldershot Football Club portraits – Ian
Gillard Strip 22 Negs 18-21
Year Date Neg no. 23 P X Aldershot Football Club portraits – Ian
Stewart Strip 23 Negs 22-24
And so on please. That way each player will be on a separate line and the
individual negs will be indexed by the details in Assignment box (alternatively
you could put the players name plus Strip and Negs in the Description column*).
I hope that makes sense though it does mean more work.
*I suspect anybody searching might put “Aldershot” and/or the player’s name
into the Assignment field so perhaps the first way might be preferable.

Subject: [heraldnegindex] Help!
Hi, think this message might best be answered by Chris. I attach a snapshot of
a page from 1990. All the names, strip nos and negative nos relate to one
entry for Aldershot Football Club Portraits.
How best to enter them on the database? Do they all go in the description box
in one lump? This would make the description line absolutely huge and a bit
muddled. Thinking it is probably best to enter them separately but would that
mess up the database?
Regards, Christine
