Dear all,
I’ve received an email today from Tony Deadman, a volunteer at the Museum of
Farnham who has been scanning the index books. He has completed two more
volumes – one covering 1962 to 1966 and the second 1976 and 1977.
They are currently uploading to pCloud. Once that is done I will send links to
you so they can be downloaded.
I propose Patsy and Rosemary now take on the 1962-66 volume and Karen makes a
start on 1976-77, unless you’d like to share them differently.
However if there is anybody reading this that feels left out please shout and
I’m sure the others will we able to set you going on an individual year of
those. Tony tells me that he will now step up the pace and aim to scan a volume
a week! (Amazingly he is taking the photographs with his mobile phone and then
stitching the book images back together!)
I’m sorry to say whoever takes on the 76-77 volume will have to deal with some
of my handwriting but at least I should be able to advise you what I think I
wrote!
My prototype database made with your hard work now totals 5,340 records and
works fine (I’ve already used it to answer a couple of queries). Has anybody
else tried it yet? You can find it at

along with the software to open it.
As I say the files are now uploading and it tells me that will take two hours
so don’t expect the links until later this evening.
