Hi Tony
Thank you for getting back about week 52 1988. I do think you are right is
saying it is in week 1 1989.
We'll see what Chris says.
This book was really good to read so no problems there, just a few odd queries
where the photographer was a bit rushed. I think you have enormous patience to
copy the sheets with your phone and they copy really well, so thank you.
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary
Unfortunately, I do not have that volume anymore, but I did notice that issue
when copying (if memory serves me correctly). The entries for 88 and 89 are in
a single volume and you will notice that week 51 has entries that stop rather
short of the end on the page, then there are about 15 to 20 1988 Xmas-New Year
entries in Week 1 of 1989. I am guessing that the Herald had a week’s.
I am pretty sure that Week 52 1988 was concatenated after New Year into Week 1
1989 but of course, unless Chris distinctly remembers that this was the case,
the only way to make 100% sure is to go back to source but I won’t be able to
do this until the Monday 4th October.
I have to say I did make a bit of a dog’s dinner of a couple of index books
around that time, as you may be able to tell. I was struggling with my software
update and with momentary imbecility (some say permanent) 😊 so anything is
possible.
Best Wishes Tony
