Found four VESPER SPARROWS at a private farm in western Prince Edward
County this evening. Three individuals were seen earlier in the year at the
farm during the Darlington Heights CBC and one was seen later in the month
in the same spot (http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S27157099).
With the two individuals seen last week, this is probably the most we have
ever seen in the county during a single year.
I walked around the farm fields and found a nice flock of AMERICAN PIPITS
who promptly took off and headed over the trees. Several HORNED LARK were
calling in the fields, and a couple WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS were heard
singing as well.
