I went down to Reusens this morning looking for any possible ducks that
are bogged down because of the snowstorm. It turned out to be an incredible
morning with tons of ducks. I had both Scaups, a large raft of Ring-neckeds, a
few Ruddy, some Gadwall, a few Black Ducks, a pair of Hoodies, and the
highlight of the morning was two male Red-breasted Mergansers floating
downriver. While walking back down the track there was 5 American Pipits just
sitting there on the rail road tracks softly calling to each other before
flying off down river. It really was a great morning!
