This came to me recently and I thought it might be good for all to see.
Is this something we can distribute to the whole membership through the
email list?

Hi Mr. McGrane,
My name is Lucas Price and I am a student at Lees-McRae College studying
wildlife biology. I was given your email by Dr. Cody Porer to reach out
to about possibly partnering with members of HCAS.
I am currently conducting a research project on mobbing behavior and
predator response in songbirds, specifically in White-breasted
Nuthatches. Part of my project is running trials using predator models
at established bird feeding stations. I was wondering if you would be
willing to ask members of the High-Country Audubon Society if any of
them would allow me to run trials at some of their feeders?
I am looking for about 7-10 people who live in Avery or Watauga County
for this. Trials normally take about thirty minutes each and are
conducted entirely outside. Additionally, I would set up appointments
with anyone interested and plan for when I would be visiting. Ideally, I
would conduct a total of two trials at each location on separate days.
The timeframe for this would be throughout the month of March and
possibly early April.

Feel free to pass this info along to any who may be interested in helping.
Sincerely,
Lucas Price
