I agree with Bob. I’m OK with this but perhaps we should have a policy.

Most birding list serves prohibit non-bird related mailings. I don’t think we
ever discussed that for our group, maybe we should someday. In the meantime I’m
fine with sharing this

Message Body:
Hello,
I am on the organizing committee for the 2022 Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in
the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This April 26-30, 2022 will mark the
72nd year of this event. The Pilgrimage began in 1951 and today it draws
thousands of people from across the US in what is among the oldest and largest
public science education and outreach events in the US. While it is called the
“Wildflower Pilgrimage,” there are >200 outdoor and indoor educational
experiences from fish parasites to stargazing and from bats to art as it
relates to nature. Joey Shaw, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga,
has lined up more than 120 experts in biology, ecology, conservation, land
management, and art to lead educational opportunities over a four day period in
and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Registration for this event is now open, and I think it may be of interest to
the members of your institution. If you agree, I would appreciate if you could
pass this information on to them. Please let me know if I can provide any
additional information about this event.
