It's time to decide if we want to do the Birder Scholarship again for
2023. CBC meetings have resumed in person. When we did this in 2019 we said
we'd pay up to $700 for up to four students to attend (breakdown of costs
for 2019 is below). I think we ended up paying for three students so the
cost was a little less (Doris, do you know what we have paid in the past?).
If we are doing this we need board approval with an amount that we can
spend. Can someone please make a motion and someone second? Then please
vote whether you are in favor or not.

Amount: Up to $700 provided, with the following limits:
Meeting registration ($30) HCAS will pay for up to 4 recipients
($120 total)
Membership in CBC ($15-30) HCAS will pay for up to 4 recipients (up to
$120 total)
Hotel (up to $300) HCAS will pay for one room for
three nights (up to $300)
Evening banquet ($30) HCAS will pay for up to 4 recipients
($120 total)
Gas stipend ($40) HCAS will provide a check to
cover this expense
