Sorry I’m out of town and not doing much online stuff. I’ll try to get it on
today. There are other people who admin the page but I don’t know who they are.
Anyone on the group page can post to the group though.

Atlasing with Adrianna
Time: June 25, 2022, 07:30 am - 10:30 am
Location: Tanawha Tr access at Holloway Mtn Rd
Description
As part of the Big Atlas Weekend, HCAS has a special treat lined up--Atlas
bird hike with Adrianna Nelson Saturday, June 25 at 7:30AM on the Tanawha
Trail starting at Holloway Mtn Rd. This will be a one-way, approximately 2
mile hike through varied habitat, and ending at the Cold Prong parking area
on the parkway, from where we will shuttle people back to the beginning.
Total trip time should be about 3 hours.
Adrianna currently is working on the Atlas as a tech in the mountain area,
and will be sharing her wealth of knowledge about the project, atlas
birding, and great stories about cool nesting confirmations she has done.
She is one of the top atlasers in the state, a recent grad of ASU, and a
very knowledgable and friendly naturalist.
For anyone wanting to carpool from the Boone area, please meet at New Market
Square parking lot at 7AM. Adrianna can take up to 4 extra people with her,
and we may have several cars going. Please notify me if you plan to meet for
carpooling. Otherwise, meet at the Holloway Mtn Rd access to the Tanawha
Trail, GPS 36.1399054747901, -81.757310860117. This is a well-marked parking
area on Holloway Mtn Rd about a mile north of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
As always, everyone is welcome to attend.
