Greetings Neighbors!
Thanks to the 15 volunteers who spent their Saturday morning working on
cleaning unwanted vegetation from NE 85th. It was a very successful work
party cleared 3,500 pounds - which is 1.75 tons.
1.75 TONS !!!!!
Thank you all for the amazing work that was accomplished Saturday. A total
of 15 people volunteered time. They tackled some challenging work and we
did it with commitment. Thanks to John who came and got the trailer in the
afternoon and took it to dump at the South Seattle Transfer Station and to
Michael for organizing this work day with Wedgwood Community Council.
For those who don't know, we have been given vouchers by the City of Seattle
to cover our transfer station dumps. This one would have cost us well over
$130 dollars.
The work on NE 85th Street is a long way from being finished. More work
parties will be planned in the future.
