My name is Nick (speedyleion on github) and I wanted to understand some
directions you might be willing to go with hawkmoth.
Would you be open to supporting windows, at least in tests? Getting CRLF
failures.
Would you be open to using some kind of virtual environment manager for
testing, i.e. https://tox.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ;?
Why hawkmoth? as you mentioned in
https://github.com/jnikula/hawkmoth/issues/13 there is doxygen -> breathe.
I'm not trying to criticize, I'm currently looking to move my team off of
doxygen into sphinx. Tested out breathe, but felt it was too heavy. And
one of my team brought up the concern of the more tools in the chain the
harder to debug so we started to look at directly parsing C files for
sphinx. Just curious if there were other reasons you had.
Why sphinx for C? Doxygen is generally considered the de-facto c/c++
documentation tool. As I mentioned above I'm trying to sell my team on
sphinx. Not trying to bash doxygen, I just feel that sphinx provides more
extensability.
