Most A16S backs were not used at all and appear brand new when
found after all these years.

They are an excellent source for parts or will make a very good A16
back after the 4x4 mask has been exchanged for one from a worn
A16 back.

An A16S is a nice source of parts for an A16 that needs them. I found
one (practically new) recently for around 20 EURObucks.

An A16 is also a nice source for parts an A16 may need.
Also cheap. And, compared to A16S backs, positively abundant.
So why reduce the numbers of A16S backs that are out there to fix a more common A16? Don't!
