In fact the current version (1.12 and earlier) do not do this. That
is the other change I just made which will release as 1.13 presently.
I think I should edit the Gentoo .ebuild and send it to you, before
you do that. I just tried it on one of my machines, and while it
works, it's not *quite* right IMO.
Fresh benchmarks! Get 'em while they're hot!
PowerBook 5300ce (117MHz PowerPC 603e):
Best minter: ANSI Standard 1-pipe (156320 hashes/sec)
Athlon-XP 1600MHz:
Best minter: AMD64/x86 MMX Standard 1x2-pipe (3263193 hashes/sec)
The two above were obtained using my updated ebuild script for v1.12,
which I've already sent to Adam.
