Handiham Members & Friends,
We are pleased to announce that Lucinda Moody, AB8WF, will join Courage
Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Handiham Program as program coordinator,
effective June 26th. Moody succeeds Patrick Tice, who retired after leading
Handihams for the past 25 years.
Moody holds an Extra Class amateur radio license and has been a Handiham
volunteer since 2011. She has served as an instructor at several radio
camps in addition to working with Handiham members outside of camp through
internet-based platforms. Outside of the Handiham Program, she has served
as a volunteer coordinator for her local Salvation Army Emergency Disaster
Services, including incident command, communications specialist and
recruitment and training of volunteers.
Moody has a passion for amateur radio and working with persons with
disabilities. She has gained the respect and confidence of all who have
worked with her. As the Handiham Program celebrates its 50th anniversary
this year we are excited to have her join us. We know she will be a great
person to lead the Handiham Program into its next chapter.
