Hi Dick,

Am 06/12/2018 um 20:15 schrieb Dick:

On the site is stated this image is smaller because some packages are left out, but i can install them from depot. But nowhere on the site is told which packages are left out and should be installed from depot, can > i get a list of this packages?

I guess you refer to this page: https://download.haiku-os.org/ ;?

This is defined in the sources directly [1] (see nightly vs. release AddHaikuImagePackages uses), but here is a short list:
- bepdf
- keymapswitcher
- llvm
- noto_sans_cjk_jp
- pdfwriter
- python
- timgmsoundfont
- wqy_microhei

(plus some source packages)

another question: my partner will test with this machine because i am blind myself. did someone ever think about inplementing accessibility for the blind in haiku?

Well, that's certainly a big TODO on our part. However, unless someone comes up with a strong desire to implement accessibility features, I don't think we'll work on that anytime soon given our small resources.

I'm afraid that a mainstream OS is a better choice for you for now, although I hope that this will change in the future.

Bye,
   Axel.
