Currently the serial mouse ISD is using a BSerialPort and accessing only the last device registered. This allows for testing against a second mouse thus not crippling the primary mouse if there were issues. :-) Once the ISD is released into CSV everyone is welcome to change it to make it better. Or if you would like to help out with the Mouse ISD, let me know offline and I can give you an honorary input_server team membership and throw some code your way. :-) Very Respectfully, Jason VanDerMark OBOS InputServer Lead Proud BeOS/OBOS User -----Original Message----- From: François Revol [mailto:revol@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 2:59 AM To: openbeos@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [openbeos] Re: site news: input_server > We will have a serial mouse ISD in the next week or so. Remember the mouse (both serial and PS/2) and keyboard data comes from the kb_mouse driver, and AFAIK the IOCTLs are the same for PS/2 and serial... So, is this "serial mouse ISD" to be working for both, or you plan on using /dev/ports/serial1 instead of /dev/input/* ? François.
