This is indeed the issue you have found already; currently, the only 
solution is to replace the ATA subsystem with the old IDE one which 
worked fine on that system.
If you can build Haiku for yourself, this is pretty simple (just add a 
"HAIKU_ATA_STACK = 0 ;" to your UserBuildProfile), otherwise, I don't 
know if someone has a package prepared.
