My first reaction to the meta tags of each blog post, is that they're confusing. Why have them up front, on top. The title and short text should be enough to convey the message, no? (Why display blog tags by default?)
Those tags are part of the navigation, but maybe they should indeed move down...
BTW, is that a summary, or simply the first block of text?
It's the first part of the actual text.
Anyway, blogging (erm.. "article") conglomeration aside, the top link menu doesn't cater very good to the 7 (or so) categories of people I listed in my previous post. Look at Apple's website. They're not going to any extreme, but they do have distinct areas on their website for different audiences. Some parts are *selling* (MacOS X, the Store, iTunes), primarily to consumers, some are community (.Mac), others are purely developer oriented with lots of plain facts information.
I'll consider your suggestions.
