I think they changed that saying. Now it is:

If it ain't broke, break it and make it better.

New name is a good idea.

Why was Be called Be to begin with?

Why Change name? Don't you think people will think that you are no longer
following BeOS? Oh, well that my two cent. I think that OpenBeOS is better,
look at BlueOS. I know it too is base on Be and Linux, but when I hear Blue
I think IBM, maybe it my age. Just like when I see the Fuji sys., I think
Atari or the red and white check ball I think Amiga. Well I hear Be I think
of that great blue red logo. I know Palm owns it. What the old saying it not
broke don't fix it.

Well I know I am outsider because I am not a programming, just end-users.
But I like name Open BeOS, oh well no one listens to me anyway.
