Well, I finally got around to downloading a Haiku image (from Aug 20) after I heard you can get them pre-built on schmidp.com. Big congrats to all of the developers, it boots! And only six seconds from boot menu to...well...KDL. ;) But that's faster than it takes BeOS to get to the desktop! What happened yesterday: -1-2 seconds of nothing -3 seconds of initial Haiku screen with sweet-looking logo in lower- right -1 second of blueish desktop screen with hand cursor in upper-left -frozen Today I inherited a GeForce3 to replace my TNT1, and tried again. Now the same thing happens, but on the blueish desktop there's a logo in the lower-right and "Workspace 1" in the upper-left. But still it freezes at that point. I tried enabling the logs and the bluescreen. It doesn't seem to make any logs in /bootvol/var/log, but the onscreen debugger works. It says (IIRC): PANIC: free(): address 0x806499b0 already exists in bin free list Any idea how I can get it to work? I'm on a PIII 933 w/320 on a Via VT82C694X.
