I suggest (or would have suggested) troubleshooting VirtualBox instead.
It is a simple, clean, easy program and its support and features are
excellent. I have spent very little time trying Hyper-V, which is one
of the least-popular hypervisors in the business.
I have compared VBox to other free hypervisors (GNOME Boxes, Linux KVM
with VMM, VMWare Player) and paid ones (VMWare workstation, VMWare
Fusion, Parallels Desktop) and it is very nearly as good as the best
paid ones, and better than all the other free ones.
Its strength is desktop virtualisation, not server stuff -- KVM does
offer more versatility in that respect.
